Details Leak on Limbo Developer's Upcoming Game

Limbo developer Playdead's next game will be a 2.5D platformer in full color.
Industry sleuth Superannuation (via Kotaku) discovered a posting about Playdead's upcoming project in a listing of interactive grant recipients from the Danish government.
Codenamed "Project 2," the game will be "the story of one boy's struggle against evil forces through questionable experiments on human bodies, trying to take over the world," according to the posting.
The grant is for £1,000,000 ($1,553,300).
Though the game will have 3D graphics, it will all transpire across a 2D plane. While little is known how it will play, the listing categorizes it as a "Puzzle Platform/Adventure." It also lists intended platforms as PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and Mac.
I wouldn't expect this follow-up to come anytime soon, though. Last summer Playdead CEO Dino Patti said in an interview with Edge, "I think the new production will take at least three and a half years." That places its release sometime in 2014. Until then, feast your eyes on this disturbing piece of concept art.
